The Truth about Friends

There are many different types of friends. It seems to me that you really find out who really cares for you when you are going through a tough time. First of all, there are those friends who ONLY seem to care when something goes wrong in your life. They don't really seem to care about the good stuff, as long as there is juicy gossip, that's what they want. They seem insincere. Then there are the friends who don't really pay much attention to you at all, you see them all the time, but they are more concerned about what is going on in their own life, and don't care if the great things they tell you about hurt you. Then there are friends who stand along side you, the supporter friends, the caring, the loving friends. There are the friends who live an hour away, but send you flowers, call you, and don't take no for an answer when they say they are going to come for the weekend. There are the friends that show up at your door with muffins and are just there to hang out, and to watch TV with. There are the friends that rush through their chores, to come hug you, to carry you to bed, to lay in bed with you and just talk and wipe away your tears. There are the friends who are constantly by your side, who don't let you hang out alone, who invite you to movies, and shopping, and ANTM. there are the friends who bring over chocolate, and cookies, and a note telling you how much they still want to be friends. Finally, there are the friends who live in Winnipeg, the ones so far away from you that you don't think they could do anything. But they do, just a simple, how are you doing, a simple phrase or caring word. It's funny how someone so far away, can make you feel better then some people you live with! Right now, my friends are so important, and I can't even seem to thank them enough.

Oh Anna.
Your comments make me feel all warm inside. i love you to death. i'm sorry I wasn't in math today...I couldn't make myself wake up. I was awake in my dream... I thought I was up that whole time. then my alarm went off again and it was 1030. somehow i changed it to an hour later without knowing it haha.
ANYHOW. I adore you, and I'm so glad you have good people in your life (although i know the people you're talking about who are self absorbed...)
