So for starters! This is my (obviously) getting ready for school! This is pretty standard school wardrobe, although sometimes I go a lot more casual. Also notice my brand new korean-ish glasses! Don't mind my dirty apartment!

This is the massive "Little America" school which I pass everyday on my way to school. Somehow it doesn't surpise me in the least that the little AMERICA sign is the biggest sign of any school I've seen.
Our school is right across from Little America, but somehow people still don't know where the school is.
The other building you can see in the picture is a parking garage. It frequently is playing songs I remember from my Sunday-school days. Nice background music as we're walking to school :)
Birthday parties at SLP are a great time. This is my F class. The girl behind the cake is Seo Hee, it was her birthday this day, and we got a delicious Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, loads of songpyeon, fruit, and juice. They really do go all out for birthday parties!
This is one of my two kindergarten classes. From left to right we have Hyae Won, Si Eun, Woo Hyun, Soo Bin, Jun Hong, Min Soo, Chan Sung, Seo Hee, Han Jin and Se Eun. They can be a handful, but I love them all dearly :)
In the mornings and between classes we have a bit of time to prepare for our next classes. Kristin and I are lucky enough to teach the same level of kindergarten, so we can often help eachother out with fun things to do with our classes, or just discuss our classes in general!
Kristin here is checking up on our Rainbow Bridge books, and seeing what is in store for us for the day. Usually it's pretty minimal, and we've gotten extremely good at stretching our material out for our hour and a half classes!
After I'm done my prep (which usually doesn't take that long), I have time for my little morning routine at work. This includes this delicious coffee which comes in little tubes and you just add hot water, and reading my book.
I just finished reading this Ken Follet Novel "World Without End", the sequel to "Pillars of the Earth". Not going to lie, it was a commitment! 1025 pg.'s of tiny writing. But a good read! Now I'm onto Jane Austen's "Persuasion".
This is the corner right as you walk into our Dong (or neighborhood), Mannyeon Dong. This Paris Bakery "Tous Les Jour" is where I stop off when I need to pick up a loaf of bread, or a little treat after a long hard day at work. It's very hard to find any type of bread other than white bread here...but Tous Les Jour has a seven grain bread which as close as we can get here.
This is the GS 25 on the corner near my street! Even though they don't speak English, they still have the friendliest staff of any convenience store in my area. They really are "freindly, fresh and fun". This is often also a hang out spot for us foreigners. As you can see they have tables and chairs outside! We spend many a summer night eating ice cream there! I also stop there if I'm in need of a coffee or some orange juice.
This is my street! The building that is a different colour with a little overhang is my building! I'm the top floor and I have a balcony-type room where I can hang my laundry or whatnot. My street is actually fairly clean compared to many streets in my neighborhood! Beside my building is a great super cheap dry cleaners, and across the street is one my favorite Korean BBQ places. Sooooo good (and dangerously close).
These are my new glasses! After work I like to come home, do a little email writing, or read a good book.
And there you have it! A little taste of an average day in my life here in Korea. Not too exciting, but I hope you enjoyed it non-the-less!
