One final March Entry:

I can hardly believe that March is almost over! April has always been a stressful time, exams, papers, finding a job for the summer. It's my first year NOT having to do all that, and I have to say...it feels pretty good!

March has been a little more low-key than some of the other months I've spent here. Mostly because I'm really starting to try to make an effort to save some money (better late then never right...), but I've still been able to get out and do some fun stuff, it really helps that the weather is getting SO much nicer!

A couple weekends ago we had an "afternoon by the river". We later found out that there was an extreme yellow dust warning for that day. No wonder every Korean looked at us as if we were crazy while they walked their dogs in their masks. I, however, felt no effects of the yellow dust, and had a great time relaxing in the warm sun, eating yummy food, and reading :)

The same weekend we headed to another volleyball game! This time a playoff game. We all wore blue and white (good colours :)) and cheered our heads off. They ended up winning the game, and therefore moving on in the finals! I've yet to see them lose a game, it was pretty exciting. I even brought our dear friend the blue wig along, which ended up helping us score some free pizza. Sweet, right. Like I said before, Korean fans are awesome, and I love going to those games. Tomorrow we head off to another game. GO SAMSUNG! :)

This past weekend Kristin and I headed to CheongJu to have dinner with Robs before she headed to the States for her brothers wedding, and then Canada to see all our lovely friends there. We went to "Hungry Eyes", a delicious Indian restaurant, and then hung out and caught up at Cafe Benne. It was really low key, but a good time.

Saturday Kristin and I went with Katlyn and her church group to an orphanage just outside of CheongJu. I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect, but it was a lot of fun! Visiting orphanages always make me really appreciate my parents. I'm so blessed to have two healthy parents. Parents who were able to love me, support me, and provide for me as I was growing up.
It also amazes me how much fun you can have with kids who don't know ANY English. I drew pictures, played with clay, and played badminton with a couple of girls who's full English vocabulary was knowing how to count from 1-5. But it was a lot of fun, and I think I'll end up doing it again before I leave. A really great experience. Apparently there is also an orphanage here in DaeJeon, so maybe we will go to that one.

And that's about it for March! As the weather gets nicer and nicer I'm sure I'll have more to report on :)

Peace, Love and Sunshine :)
