Last days with Mom and Dad in Korea.

Monday: Monday of mom and dad's trip was a work day. It was actually a day I was really looking forward to because Paul was gone and I got to teach my old kindies again! Yay! A little before lunch mom and dad came to meet the kids and see me teach. THe kids of course were fascinated by new (older) foreign faces. Surprisingly, they weren't shy at all! (okay...maybe that isn't a surprise..haha) They asked my parents ridiculous questions (ie. What make is your cell phone?), and we got completely off task and didn't finish half of the work Paul left me - oops. For lunch, I took my parents for my favorite lunch, mandu's and gimbap! And then I sent them to explore Hanbat Arboretum while I taught my milestones class. Monica was gracious enough to take my last class of the day, so I was free to bring my parents to Eunhangdong for some shopping (my favorite past-time), and of course, some amazing Bonbon salad and pizza. I think my parents were a little overwhelmed at first with all the people and flashing lights. But in my opinion, if you're in Asia...that's a must-see! We took a few minutes to check out the love-bridge and ArtBox, and then we headed to the packed subway and made our way back to Mannyeon-Dong.

Tuesday: Tuesday was yet another national holiday (gotta love all the random holidays in Korea!) and it was also mom and dads last day in SK. I got up early to go buy their bus tickets and pick up some coffee and then made some banana pancakes. After breakfast we finished packing up and then went for a walk down to the gapcheon. Then it was time to go to the bus stop. My least favorite thing about having visitors is that they always leave. As with the rest of my visitors (BTW with mom and dad that count is up to 6!) I didn't break down until they were on the bus. My only comfort at that time was that I'd see them in only 2 months...little did I know that it would actually be quite a bit sooner...

....which brings me to my next entry....
