Life back in the homeland...

So I'll admit...I've been a wee bit lazy with the bloggin' since I returned to my home and native land.

Honestly, I wasn't too pleased to be in Canada when I first arrived. I felt like my time in Korea was not finished....probably because it wasn't. BUT, that being said, I've been tremendously blessed coming back to Canada and I feel very thankful for everything that has happened!

When I got back to Canada I had a nice slow adjustment to life in Canada by going to Vancouver for a week and a half and spending some time with my sister, her husband, and my niece. With such a huge family it's rare that we get so much one-on-one time, so I really enjoyed that week with them. We explored Vancouver, and took a long-weekend trip to Victoria! It was really beautiful, and just what I needed after going through a somewhat traumatic experience. I was sad to leave, and not ready to be shoved into small-town, mono-cultural farmland Ontario.

But as I've learned time and again, we make plans, God shakes his head and says "no no no". And always, for good reason. Within a week of getting back to Canada I spent some quality time with a good friend, got an interview, got a job, attended one of my oldest friends wedding, and started working. I honestly can't believe the timing of everything.

My job in Port Perry is AMAZING. I'm working back at the library with most of the same ladies I worked with in high school (I've always said that it's been one of my best jobs), and I get to hang out with kids every day. How awesome is that?

Other exciting things I've gotten to do so far; I've gotten to spend lots of time up at my cottage, I've gotten to hang out with some old friends in Hamilton, I've gotten to meet up with my beautiful friend Cassy in Belleville, I watched my baby sister graduate high school, and I found an apartment in Oakville for September!

Still to come this summer....Girls cottage weekend, Road trip out East, and moving to Oakville! Crazyness!
