Thanksgiving in K-land

This year I have many things to be thankful about, not that I don't every year, but I feel especially blessed this year. I thought in honour of Thanksgiving I'd put together a little list of things I'm thankful for (get ready for a blog full of sappiness).

1. I'm thankful for family. It was amazing to get a visit from family. I've already spent two full blogs describing just how wonderful that was. I'm also blessed to have family who is constantly praying, emailing, and skyping me from back in Canada. I think I've often taken them for granted, and I've really started to notice that being so far away from them.

2. I'm thankful for far-away friends. These people are also still praying for me, and I can't tell you how much I look forward to certain weekly emails from some of my friends back at home. Even if sometimes they make me cry and make me miss home, I still appreciate them more than I've expressed.

3. I'm thankful for my friends here in Korea. They are my life support here. I honestly don't know what I'd do without the girls I came with. I've had the added blessing of making some more awesome friends here as well.

4. I'm thankful that the leafs don't suck as much as they did last year. Enough said. (Don't want to jinx it).

5. I'm thankful for a job I don't hate. I'm thankful that I don't dread getting my butt out of bed EVERY morning (just occasionally). I'm thankful that although my kindy's can be a handful, they are an enormous amount of fun, and have huge hearts to go along with their huge smiles.

6. I'm especially thankful for new experiences this year. Exploring hometowns with co-workers, travelling all over Korea, frequenting Korean restaurants and cute cozy coffee shops, struggling to learn enough Korean to survive, making new friends, living on my own, and so so so much more. I'm thankful that I still have 9 more months to appreciate this country, and continue to grown and learn from the experiences I'm having here.

So that's my short list of things I'm thankful for this year. Things that almost made the list: headbands, nail polish, and hello kitty ;)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Peace and Love.
