Muju and Secret Santa :)

What a FANTASTIC weekend! The foreign teachers at our school were given the opportunity to head up to a condo near Muju Mountain for the weekend. So Saturday morning we all loaded on what I can only describe to you as a "Bollywood tour bus" with all our snow gear and headed to the mountain!

We also decided to bring up a full Christmas dinner to have on Saturday afternoon before all the guys headed out to do some night-boarding. Let me just say...it was incredible. And I was so ridiculously stuffed afterwards I felt like I could hardly move! But regardless, we headed to the resort and the boys headed to board as us girls started asking around for the sledding hill. As we started asking around we quickly learned that the area we needed to head to was called "Kids Land". Now, you would think that this would be embarrassing...6 grown women heading to "kids land", and I won't lie and say it wasn't. But it was also a ridiculous amount of fun! As we got up to the top of the hill, an awkward teenage Korean boy employee was there to greet us. I'm pretty sure we were the highlight of his night. He spoke a tiny bit of English and directed us in what we were supposed to do...giggling the whole time. We even got him to take our picture. Some of us were better at sledding than others...I guess it had been a while for a few people ;).

After the sledding we decided to do some hardcore kids rides including "Bum Per Car" (translation error), and this crazy spinny thing! The resort also had the most amazing lights I`ve ever seen. Honestly I was in love with these Christmas lights! Us girls decided to take some pictures by the Christmas tree...because come on, it`s Christmas...it has to be done! At the end of the night we headed back to our condo to have a nice night of chatting and game playing.

Sunday we headed back into the city (sadly!) and the CheongJu girls came to my place for ANOTHER Christmas dinner and gift exchange. It was really awesome to have them come here, and it just reminded me that even though my family is far away right now I still have a family here too (awww). And like my family back home, whenever we`re all together there are SURE to be a lot of laughs...and food. I also totally scored in the gift exchange! I got Ken Follets new novel and an amazing yellow hat! Katlyn is the best! :)

And now, there are only 4 short days to go until Thailand! I`m SOOOO ridiculously excited, and have SOOOO much to do before then! It`s going to be amazing. (lets all just hope that the rain stops!!)

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Peace and Love my friends. Enjoy time with your friends and family. Eat extra turkey for me!
