Heart-melting moment of the day:

Usually I write about the big things that happen. Trips, weekends, events, etc. I don't usually write about the little moments.

Today I had a great day with my milestone class. One moment in particular stuck out and made me smile. I'll have to set the stage:

My milestones is a class of 5 rowdy boys, about 8 years old, and me. They love to tease each other, but it's usually in good fun. One moment they'll be poking each other, and then next they'll be running around playing tag like nothing ever happened. Sometimes they are a handful, but usually they are just a lot of fun.

Today we were learning about plants, and different types of fruits. I was trying to explain some more unusual fruits and veggies such as pomegranate, avocado, and butter nut squash..and I was failing. Then, my quietest boy, Young Jo raised his hand and said, "Teacher, I know what these are in Korean, can I say?". So, since I was failing epically, I agreed that he could tell the class. After he told the kids a few different fruits and veggies his seat partner, who also happens to be the naughtiest, craziest boy in the class leaned over, ruffled Young Jo's hair and said, "ohhh, you're so smart!". Needless to say I could NOT keep a straight face. It was just too cute. Young Jo blushed and we went back to work.

Another highlight of the class was when one boy told me his favorite jam was "chocolate jam". (aka, Nutella).

Enjoy the little things friends, don't take them for granted :)
Peace and Love.
